These little short fat 2D ugly stupid high-pitched immature irritating creatures give me a headache every time time I see them on TV.
I don’t find them funny, I have never found them funny and I will never find them funny and I just can’t understand how can people watch it and talk about how funny it is every single day of the week, some times it feels like south park exists just because I hate it.
Back when I was 9 years old, I found it cool to watch south park just because they swear and cuss a lot and back then it was tough to know how to swear, that was it, there was no other reason to watch it.
But it is not cool to watch it when you are 20 plus, it becomes silly and immature.
Here are some good tv-shows that give you high quality and time worthy entertainment:
Two and a half men, Family guy, Scrubs, The Simpsons, Prison Break, Heroes, House, According to Jim, Malcolm in the middle and Cops.
I am a Family guy addict
and i watch and enjoy most of the show you recommend.
btw Seth MacFarlane has created small clips which are witty and funny u can see them on my blog
tell me what you think

I agree, the way they talk stops being funny after the 6th grade.
It’s annoying
Well, first of all, like many shows on today, South Park does get into bad language – at least compared to 20 years ago. So I would fault no one who wanted to avoid it. However, South Park is sort of unique in that it seems to pick on ALL oddities and not have a partisan or ideological approach. As near as I can tell, they pick on extremists – regardless of political party, gender, race or other. If one lifts their head up and seems to say something that sounds dumb to them, they will come after that public figure.
In my mind, as long as they are even up in their humor, I am fine and will call it humor. I’ve heard it said by another that since they pick on everyone, sooner or later they will pick on something sort of sacred to you. Well, if we are being fair, we should laugh at those extremes just as we laugh at the extremes of others.
I think the South Park message is, try to be nice, try to stay out of wierd extremes and mind shutting stands, but if you are an extremist, we will go after you.
Out of all the things you listed, the only thing that you should watch, being 20 and a male, is South Park. South Park gives really good insights into society’s problems (yes, they will pick on something that is sacred to you, but they give a less narrow-minded view on the matter). For example, I used to think Stem Cell research was ok, until there was a line in South Park that made me see the light: “Sometimes you have to live with the cards you’re dealt”. This, for me, was a very strong counter-argument to give me second thoughts about my stance.
I hope this was of use to you.
In my opinion, if more of society in general watched south park, the world would be a bit of a better place.
You don’t have to take what they say for the truth however, it is also fun to criticise the South Park creators’ moral standpoints on some matters (though not extreme).
Shit, this is me ranting on as usual.
I’ll cut to the chase; give south park another go, watching it when you’re 14 is very different to watching it when you’re 20.
Regards,
Adam
I was just looking around on the internet now to see if there was anyone besides me who hates this show. I feel like I’m the only one.
I find the South Park creators tend to take something topical like Tom Cruise’s odd behaviour related to Scientology and riff on that, and it just sort of becomes formulaic after a while. I’m left with a feeling of, “yeah, that’s been in the news lately, here comes the obvious gag, there is goes…” and it’s almost like they hide behind this safe sarcastic humour. And of course they make keen observations from time to time about topical events, it’s just that it gets predictable. I like humour that comes from out of left field a little more.
And the creators are always going for a cheap laugh with some toilet humour – just unforgivable in my opinion. Look at the puppet sex scene in Team America for a prime example. And the theme song to that movie – swearing doesn’t automatically make something funny.
Jesus Frakking Christ, were you born without a sense of art. South Park is to date the top animated show on TV. You say south park is immature, but you recommend “Family Guy”. You need to really “watch” some south park.
Watch:
“Big Gay Al’s Big Gay Boat Trip”
“Best Friends Forever”
“With Apologies From Jesse Jackson”
to name a few.
After that, if you still find south park not to be a great show maybe you should stop watching TV all together.
Im with Cigaw on this one, how the hell can you recommend Family Guy to watch, but then say South Park is immature. Damn at least South Park’s jokes stick to the plot and aren’t random gags one right after another like in Family Guy.
On top of that people that criticize south park for having nothing but toilet-humor are retarded. They say some profound shit about issues that affect most americans. The reason why they put the crazy, over the top toilet humor in their show is because if they didnt it wouldnt be funny they would just be preaching the entire time.
yea u should totally watch the episode “With Apologies From Jesse Jackson” and watch the whole episode.
I agree with Cigaw. If you dont understand how hysterical, unique, and sometimes insightful South Park is, then maybe you should stop watching TV. Sure, it can be hit and miss sometimes, but its always worth watching. I know this because as ‘high quality and time worthy entertainment’ you said Cops. Seriously……. I mean, Cops is fine, but you obviously have no grasp on what quality, intelligent entertainment is because you also watch According to Jim.
according to jim is just fine, at least there’s living creatures in that movie , unlike some crappy 2 dimensional chipmunk voiced characters , and when i say 2 dimensional i don’t mean graphics alone, they repeat the same old over and over again. youclash.com
You obviously don’t get the political angle of the show. I do agree that in the beginning of the show it was mostly laughs about how rude these kids were and how f”"”ed up the whole show was, but the last few seasons have become even better and better if you ask me!!! It’s more satire than anything now and it is a brilliant show. No offence, but screw you (that is whoever wrote this blog), your sense of humour sucks ass (as any of the kids in south park would have put it ^^ ).
Here I go again. If you call ‘COPS’ quality TV (as someone else said in a comment here), then you really have bad taste. Therefore, I won’t waste my time here anymore but just hope that anyone who reads this will keep on watching south park or start watching it if they haven’t already. Come on. The guy likes COPS. =/
South park is funny. Just because they swear, it doesn’t make it an awful show.
