Well, that title got me over here to watch the vodcast. :)

I can’t tell you how surprised I am that you actually went to church.

What you said about the Bible is correct. It was written by men as inspired by God, it is not without a few minor errors, none of which are important to doctrine. The main ones are outlined in Josh McDowell’s “Evidence That Demands a Verdict”. This is why translating into other languages is encouraged.

That is one huge Bible, probably written in fus7a English :) . I recommend an easier translation.

If you are going to read those two books, heavily stacked against these two faiths, I’d recommend reading a couple that answer some of those charges, especially C.S. Lewis and Lee Stroble, who both set out to disprove Christianity and ended up believing.

Good for you for looking at several sides. :)

Where are you from? Is it a secret? :)
Thanks

Hey Nizar. Im sorry to bother you in wrong forum but I got a request.

I would really love to have an Spotify invite if u have any left. Please answer me fast as you can.

Peace bro

Well , you say Bible have few errors and it’s ok . I tell you IT’S not relegions must not have a single mistake or contradiction besides it musn’t be written by someone who’s like you or me. It’s something holly ,so it must come direct from God .

I was thinking your going to give us a tour
All good though

Aww I was hoping for a tour too! And interviews with the local priest :P Good job Nizar!

Hi Nizar, how are you?

Good that you search, instead of believing in things without having an opinion in them and taking it as given, we are not machines in the end, we are brains.

I do not know if God says elsewhere that he created the stars after the earth, but here he doesn’t say that, This verse says that he made them visible (probably to those who will live on earth). the words (ََزَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِمَصَابِيح) means: made it look beautiful , maybe by making the stars visible to earth, but surely this doesn’t mean by creating the stars. It will be better to read and report Quran in Arabic, its language, not to fall in such mistakes again.

the verb (زين) means to make look better, not to create.

kinzi:
Thanks for your recommendations, I have a normal bible, and I will be visiting church soon again.

Elcorin:
Sweden.

someone:

A message directly sent from God would be helpful, but I would prefer a reliable one that proves its self to be the true message and doesn’t contradict scientifically with my reality.

Sabeour:
Glad you liked it, next time maybe.

Odd:
Thanks, but I don’t think they would agree on making an interview.

MD:
The verb (زين) means to decorate:
That can be anything from furnish, hang, place, adorn, provide etc..

We do not know for sure what God really meant, but we know that god was talking about the creation of the heaven and the earth; about how he brought the universe to existence and made it to what it is today.

That is, he starts when there was nothing but him and ends by him placing life in it, so it is pretty clear that he is talking about how he created the heaven and the earth.

Another thing is that he mentions that on the fourth day, after furnishing earth with mountains and food, the heavens were smoke/vapour at that point, and then later, we know that he decorated it with stars, and not for example cleared the smoke to make the stars visible.

Another thing is that the name of the sura is fussilat, which is ”In Detail” if to be translated, here god is supposed to be clear, accurate and detailed (not poetic) about his creation.

ther is a difference between decorate and create, you decorate with things already existing.

You just don’t seem to get it, this is creationism, c r e a t i o n i s m, this is the process were god CREATED the EARTH and the HEAVENS, before this step there was no sky, only vapor, after that step we have stars, they were created, the word decorate is used as a poetic alternative to the word create. get it?

Who dares to look deeper in to Revalations?
The Ark of the Covenant an ancient source of conflict now opened with truth, can you handle the history of the Ark of Testimony in Islaam:
http://thetruereligion.wordpress.com/2009/04/23/ark-of-the-covenant-ark-of-the-testimony-tabut-al-sakina/

I went to check into an original arabic dictionary (lisaan el 3arab) and there was no meaning for the word زينto equal create , so this means God can not use it here in another meaning because the language does not support that. if you like to change the language to suit your needs then do that, its your own problem, but be carefull when reading Quran and make sure you understand the words before making rules.

Sura 2:29:

هُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ لَكُم مَّا فِى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ جَمِيعً۬ا ثُمَّ ٱسۡتَوَىٰٓ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَسَوَّٮٰهُنَّ سَبۡعَ سَمَـٰوَٲتٍ۬‌ۚ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَىۡءٍ عَلِيمٌ۬

He it is Who created for you all that is in the earth. Then turned He to the heaven, and fashioned it as seven heavens. And He is knower of all things.

God created the earth then the heavens, is it clear to you now?
